Which one is the evil twin?
WHO: Betty Barnes, Stevewolf, Clint Barton (NPC), and Bucky Barnes (NPC)
WHAT: Using one Winter Soldier to warn another Winter Soldier.
WHEN: On a Thursday, after this.
WHERE: Bucharest.
NOTES/WARNINGS: Cursing. Probably some violence. Bad memories for at least three.
Oranges had memories attached. So did apples. Plums didn't.
Betty had bought her share back in Bucharest. Her Bucharest, anyway, and that meant there was a good chance this Bucky person (a little reading on the flight to distract herself from being trapped in a little metal enclosure that she had no control over had told her that Bucky was short for Buchanan - either way, his parents must have hated him) was just as interested in those plums.
So she'd set up a stakeout, with Barton's help, a little way away from the plum vendor's stall. Officially, they had a room at the Trianon Hotel. They were a couple, finally taking that trip overseas to see about her heritage, the country her parents had emigrated from. Background building had also been an exercise to keep her distracted. Odd how Clint seemed to get that. Maybe the guy was better than his files had said.
Either way, it was a little touch-and-go, mostly because she didn't want to touch but did want to go.
She knew which apartment to look at, but she also knew that the two of them needed to blend in to the town, become part of the routine, and settle in enough that neither of them would ring any alarm bells. Which was why it was the third day before she contacted Steve with a, "He's fine. I'm going to go make contact."
